Books Donation to MI AL ISTIQOMAH B Elementary School, Pulogadung

The HDI Foundation team went to Pulo Gadung on March 22, 2007 to visit MI AL ISTIQOMAH B Elementary School, another school that we renovated back in 2006.

Ms Markamah, the school’s principal was briefing her students when we arrived. The students have had a difficult school term, mostly because of the massive flooding in the area at the beginning of the year. The classrooms were flooded. There was a damp, musty smell, and a lot of broken furniture lying around.

Despite this, the students were all busy preparing for their final exam and still in high spirits. Hopefully, the books, clothing and school supplies we brought over will help them get back on their feet even faster.
