Books Donation to Teluk Naga, Tangerang

On 15th March 2007, HDI Foundation went to Teluk Naga Village to visit Teluk Naga Junior High School. It was one of the schools that we built back in 2006. Located approximately 20 km from west suburb Jakarta, Teluk Naga Village is populated with more than 1500 residents who mainly derive their income from cultivating coastal ponds.

All of us were touched by the warm welcome given by Pak Yatno, the schools principal along with the teachers and students even though they were busy preparing for the final exam held next month. We also donated secondhand study books and schools supplies to support their learning.

Clothes were also donated to the flood victims in Burung villages and these will be personally distributed by Pak Yatno and his team. But more than anything else, we had a great time interacting and spending time with the children. We are glad they now have a wonderful opportunity to pursue their dreams.
