Donation of Clover Honey from New Zealand Honey Producers Co. Ltd.

Putting attention and focus on underprivileged children have always been the key activities of High Desert International (HDI) Foundation. Through various humanitarian activities, especially on education support and poverty reduction, HDI Foundation received vast acknowledgements from its counterparts.

To show the support on what HDI Foundation had done, the New Zealand Honey Producers Co. Ltd. recently donated 4,762 jars of 1 kg Clover Honey and 1,348 jars of the 0.5 kg ones to be distributed nation-wide to underprivileged children in Indonesia.

The hand over by Mr. Brian Olorenshaw and Mr. Ian Gebbie as the representatives of the New Zealand Honey Producers Co. Ltd took place on 13 October 2010 at HDI Foundation Office, Jakarta-Indonesia.

This donation was made as an expression of concerns from New Zealand Honey Producers Co. Ltd. on the sustainability of health and well-being condition of the underprivileged children in Indonesia. More than 3 million children in Indonesia live below the poverty line and could not attain nutrition supply sufficiently. Clover Honey is a high quality product which contains royal jelly as well as bee pollen, and is expected to help in scaling up the immunity system.

Given the most recent circumstances and natural disasters that happened, HDI Foundation took the liberty to donate 1,200 jars of 1 kg Clover Honey to the people and children who are victims of Merapi eruption in Yogyakarta, Central Java. The honey were distributed to more than 10,000 refugees staying in 9 villages and camps, on October 31 and November 1, 2010.

The remaining of the products will be distributed to other underprivileged children who are students of the schools built by HDI Foundation, the children living in orphanages, as well as those living in poor areas.
