Hans van Florenstein Mulder or we got used to call him with Hans, peculiarly made his time for coming to Indonesia to visit assisted schools of HDI Foundation –SD MI Al Istiqomah, Pulo Gadung; SMP Terbuka Teluknaga, Tangerang; dan SMP Pangerasan, Bogor- on 24 and 25 April 2009.
This very short visit for Hans, a Waldorf Educator and Anthroposophist, who was accompanied by his lovingly wife, Ineke, had a very deep impression. During his visit on his first day, Hans and Ineke could immediately decide to be the foster parents of Yulianah, who is now studying at SMP Terbuka Teluknaga at level 7.
The love and care and high social spirit were clearly shown from the first time we knew this Dutch spouse who already lived for long time in New Zealand. Hans’ devotion on education had brought him to be actively involved in various education activities in many countries under Waldorf School, including in Biodynamic Agriculture since the year 1972. Ineke’s support toward her husband was shown distinctly whenever she accompanied Hans while visiting and transferring the education in many countries.
Hans and Ineke would be back to Indonesia to voluntarily gave free training about Organic Farming at SMP Pangerasan, Cijeruk, Bogor on 1-3 June 2009.
