Study Tour to National Monument - MONAS

On 30 June 2007, 13 graduates from Teluk Naga Terbuka Junior High School got the opportunity to visit Monumen National (MONAS) with some of their teachers, as a reward for working hard and finishing their studies.

Although it was tiring 2 hour journey from their village, the children were awestruck upon seeing the 450 ft tall tower in Central Jakarta, which symbolizes the fight for Indonesia’s Independence.

"I have never been outside our village, especially to Monas and see the wonder of it. It has been such a great experience for me." said Aryati, who got the second best score in her final year.
