'It is a greater work to educate a child, in the true and larger sense of the word, than to rule a state.' - William Ellery Channing
It takes much more than just a dream to make things happen. Building, setting up and running the schools also requires a lot of help, effort, love and funding.
The most basic is the physical structure.
Help us to build functional schools for these children. You can donate a whole school building or segregated portions of the school. If you wish, the school can be named after yourself and your loved ones. You can also contribute a classroom, a library, a teachers' room, a toilet, or even tables and chairs.
A typical school building that can accommodate 320 High School students consists of 4 classrooms and a teacher's room each measuring 56sm (Total 5x56 = 280sm), a library, toilets, a maintenance room, a kitchen, and a courtyard. This will cost USD 70,000 (IDR 700 million)*.

'Love is a universal language.' Send a child to school today!
In many poor areas, even if education is available or given free, some children of poor families are not in schools because of the associated costs of attending school, i.e. enrollment fees, uniforms, stationeries, food, transportation, etc. These costs are beyond the means of many poor families.
Without a decent education, many children will help their parents in farming, fishing, and scavenging. As adults they too will be poor and will not be able to send their own children to school, allowing the cycle of poverty to continue.
You have the power to help fulfill their simple wish by sponsoring them. It costs as little as USD 10 (IDR 90,000) per month or USD 120 (IDR 1,080,000) per year to send a child to school!

*The costs of schooling includes registration & enrollment fee, school fees, study materials, stationary, examination fee, uniforms, school bags, shoes, for one child over a period of one month/one year.
Minimum period is one year.
Upon sponsoring, you will receive:
- Letter and photo from your child
- A brochure
- A regular newsletter/report
We encourage you as a foster parent to write to your child as often as you like. Show your love and care for him/her directly.
You can stop the sponsoring your child anytime. We hope however that you will consider sponsorship an ongoing commitment and continue to provide long-term support for your child. This makes a lasting difference in his or her life, knowing that someone cares enough to want for them to have a brighter future.
'The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.'
- William Arthur Ward
Qualified teachers who are passionate to teach are not easy to find. A lack of proper training facilities, poor career paths, and a negative view of teaching as a career all contribute to the shortage of people who can guide and mould our future generations.
We believe our teachers should be paid a decent wage so they do not have to struggle and worry about their own bills. With a decent salary, more capable graduates with a passion for teaching will want to become our teachers. We can therefore select the best as they are expected to help mould our children's character.
With your help, our Train-A-Teacher program will equip our teachers with proper skills and knowledge to teach our children. You can help by donating any amount towards this program or by volunteering to teach or share your skills, knowledge or teaching materials or methods with our teachers. We will welcome all help offered.
