In the May 2006 earthquake, most of Bantul District, Jogjakarta, was destroyed. Most buildings were leveled. But in the small village of Bajang Dalaman, the kindergarten kids eagerly continued their study in their makeshift school consisting of an outdoor tent.
HDI Foundation built a new school in July 2007, equipped with 2 classrooms, a principal & teachers' office, toilets, and a small kitchen for preparing nutritious food for 40 students.
