It was an unforgettable day for both Street children and College students.

On August 24, 2011, Students of FIABIAKOM 2010/2011 of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Jakarta were sharing knowledge about entrepreneurship and experiences with the street children of Bina Anak Pertiwi Foundation. In this event, HDIF distributed 50 jars Clover Honey donated by New Zealand Honey Producers Co. Ltd for the children’s health.

The main objective of the Students was to passed on to the street children what they had already learned about life. That nobody owes us a living. How they became self-sufficient. And how they are able to improve their personal and family lives.

The street children learnt first hand from the Undergraduates, who are already successful in their own businesses. Some of the students have their own bands of musicians; some are aspiring artists, etc. Some of them are already working full time as drivers, singers, etc. But they chose to continue their studies, recognizing that education is important for their future.

It was a two-way education. The college students also learnt from the simplicity and difficulties of the lives of the children who have to struggle everyday to survive. They realized the children too desire, from deep in their hearts, to achieve their ideals, their dreams.

It was an unforgettable day for both Street children and College students.
